Aikikai Hombu Dojo
Aikikai Hombu Dojo (合気会 本部"場) is the headquarter of the
Aikikai which is an
umbrella organization of various national
aikido organizations. The word refers both to the organisation and the main
dojo training location for
martial arts of the organisation, which is located in
Tokyo and was founded by
Morihei Ueshiba in
1931 under the name
Kobukan. Aikikai Hombu dojo is still found at the same address, although the old building has been replaced.
