Air Miles

Air Miles logo

The Air Miles Reward Program is a loyalty program or frequent flyer program in Canada, the UK, Spain (under the brand Travel Club), the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar through which points are earned on money spent at participating merchants. Air Miles Reward Programs in each country are independently run, but use the same logo and trademark.

Air Miles collectors can redeem their points for travel, entertainment and merchandise rewards. Air Miles reward miles can be collected from all types of companies.

The Canadian Air Miles program is Canada's largest loyalty program - Air Miles can be earned at more than 100 different participating Canadian companies. According to The Loyalty Group (a subsidiary of Alliance Data Systems), the company that launched Air Miles in March 1992, 70 percent of Canadian households actively participate in the program. The Canadian site airmilesshops.ca was set up as shopping mall where Canadian Air Miles members can visits participating sites and earn additional reward points.

In Canada AMEX Bank of Canada and the Bank of Montreal offer Air Miles credit cards and WestJet offers airmiles for on-line flight bookings.
