Anand, Gujarat

Anand (આણદ) is a city in Gujarat state of western India. It is the administrative centre of Anand District.

Anand is known as the Milk Capital of India. It became famous for Amul dairy and its Milk revolution. This City hosts the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) of India and Anand Agricultural UniversityAnand lies between Ahmedabad and Vadodara and is a major railway stop on this line. It is a railway Junction and a Rail Line from here runs to Godhracovering Dakor, a major Hindu Pilgrimage enroute.The IRMA (Institute of Rural Management, Anand) campus is also situated in Anand. IRMA runs a two year Post Graduate Programme(PGP) in Rural Management which is considered to be one of the best in the world.

Nana Adadh is part of Anand and is home to the Swaminarayan Mandir along with Revadas Ni Khadki and Darvaja Vali khadki
