Arjun Rampal
Arjun Rampal (born
26 November 1972) is an
Indian
actor who appears in
Bollywood films, as well as a
supermodel.
His parents are Gwen and Armajeet Rampal. Arjun and his younger sister attended the prestigious
Kodaikanal International School, where his mother was a teacher. One of his cousins,
Kim Sharma, is an actress and appeared with him in the film
Yakeen. Arjun Rampal has done alot for Charity, he is currently sponsoring 11 orphan childeren in a orphanage.
He is married to fellow model
Mehr Jessia. They have two daughters, Mahikaa, born on
January 17 2002, and Myra, born on
23 June 2005.
Designer Rohit Bal hired him as a model after seeing him in a disco. He worked as a model for several years.
His first movie was the 2001
Moksha, directed by
Ashok Mehta. However, this film was released after his next film,
Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, in which he appeared with
Sunil Shetty and Aftab.
In
2002 he won the Award of the International Indian Film Academy for Face of the Year.
Since his debut, he has worked steadily in films such as
Aankhen,
Elaan,
Ek Ajnabee,
Yakeen and
Darna Zaroori Hai.
He has also appeared in the Temptations 2004 concert with stars
Shahrukh Khan,
Rani Mukerji,
Saif Ali Khan,
Preity Zinta, and
Priyanka Chopra.
His forthcoming releases are
Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and
Don.
