The AsiaWorld-Expo is a convention and exhibition facility in the northeast corner of Chek Lap Kok island, Hong Kong, where the Hong Kong International Airport is located. It is operated by the Airport Authority, and was opened on 21st December, 2005 by Donald Tsang, Chief Executive of Hong Kong.

At a construction cost of HK$23.5 billion, AsiaWorld-Expo offers over 70,000 square metres of rentable space, including 8 exhibition halls and Arena for exhibitions, conventions, concerts, sports and entertainment events.

Exhibitions and events

AsiaWorld-Expo has been booked for over 30 events and exhibitions through the end of 2006, including:
* A Citywide Christmas Celebration (24th December, 2005), hosted by Christian organisation City Renewal. It was the first large scale event held at AsiaWorld-Expo. Deputy CEO of AsiaWorld-Expo Allen Ha offered free venue space for the host organisation. This event was sponsored by the MTR Corporation, and Airport Express was designated the official railway of the event.
* Hong Kong Spring Fair (10th January-13th January, 2006); the first exhibition held at the venue.
* Chan Po Chu & HKCO (4th February, 2006), a concert featuring Hong Kong artist Chan Po Chu and the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra; the first live performance at the Arena of AsiaWorld-Expo featuring an Asian artist.
* Oasis - Live in Hong Kong (25th February, 2006), concert by UK rock band Oasis, part of the Asian leg of 2005/6 World Tour.
* Coldplay - Live in Hong Kong (13th July, 2006), part of the South East Asian leg of their Twisted Logic Tour of the famous UK band Coldplay.
* The Black Eyed Peas - The Monkey Business Tour (16th July, 2006)
* ITU Telecom World 2006 (4th December-8th December, 2006), hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU); the first time the conference is held in any city other than Geneva, Switzerland.

**A21 (Hung Hom KCR Station <> Airport GTC, Airport bound only)
**A43 (Luen Wo Hui <> Airport, 0700-1900 Airport bound only)
**E11 (AsiaWorld-Expo <> Causeway Bay (Tin Hau))
**E21 (AsiaWorld-Expo <> Island Harbourview)
**E22 (AsiaWorld-Expo <> Lam Tin (North)
**E22A (AsiaWorld-Expo <> Po Lam)
**E22P (AsiaWorld-Expo <> Yau Tong, Mondays to Fridays evenings only)
**E32 (AsiaWorld-Expo <> Kwai Fong MTR Station, with some departures detouring Tsing Yi South)
**E41 (AsiaWorld-Expo <> Tai Po Tau)
**S1 (Tung Chung MTR Station > AsiaWorld-Expo Circular)
***Passengers can enjoy a free interchange from A21, E11, E21, E22, E22A, E22P from AsiaWorld-Expo towards Airport to routes A11, A12, A21, A22, E23 towards city centre.
***Passengers can enjoy a free interchange from E32, E41 from AsiaWorld-Expo towards Airport to routes E31, E33, E34, E42, A31, A33, A41, A41P, A43 towards New Territories.
*AsiaWorld-Expo special services towards Urban area, which will depart 15 minutes after major cultural events have ended:
**X11 (towards Causeway Bay (Moreton Terrace), via Mong Kok, Yau Ma Tei and Cross Harbour Tunnel)
**X22 (towards Lam Tin MTR Station, via Jordan Road, Hung Hom, To Kwa Wan, Kowloon City and Kwun Tong)
**X33 (towards Fu Tai Estate, Tuen Mun)
**X41 (towards Yu Chui Court, Sha Tin)
**X35 (towards Mui Wo Ferry Pier)
