Cam Ranh Airport
Cam Ranh Airport , located on the
Cam Ranh Bay in the province of
Khanh Hoa. Used to be a military airport, it is recently turned into civil airport serving the city of
Nha Trang which is 30km away.
Cam Ranh Airport was built by the
United States Army during the
Vietnam War, and operated by the
United States Air Force as
Cam Ranh Air Base. Since then, Cam Ranh Airport has been used solely for military operation.
On
May 19,
2004, after major reconstruction, Cam Ranh airport received first commercial flight from
Hanoi. Now, it completely takes over all commercial flights which previously headed to
Nha Trang Airport.

Vietnam Airlines is serving this airport with flights to:

In the near future, Cam Ranh Airport will be upgraded into an international airport which can draw tourists to beautiful city of
Nha Trang and nearby areas which are famous for pristine beaches.
