Cao Xiong
Cao Xiong was the son of the powerful
warlord Cao Cao, by his second wife
Princess Bian, and lived during the late
Eastern Han Dynasty and the
Three Kingdoms period in ancient
China. He died young, but the cause of death was undocumented in historical records.
(According to the
Romance of the Three Kingdoms, a
14th century historical novel by
Luo Guanzhong, Cao Xiong hanged himself when he heard that his elder brother
Cao Pi, who succeeded Cao Cao, was going to punish him for failing to turn up for their father's funeral.)
In 234, Cao Xiong was posthumously given the title of Prince Huai of Xiao (蕭懷王), and his son Cao Bing (曹炳) inherited his titles.
