Chernobyl Children's Project International
Chernobyl Children's Project International (CCPI) is a
United Nations-accredited international development, medical, and humanitarian organization that works with children, families and communities that continue to be affected by the
Chernobyl nuclear disaster of
1986. The organization was founded in
Ireland 15 years ago, and expanded into the
United States in 2001.
The organization was the focus of the Academy-Award winning film, "Chernobyl Heart."
CCPI works with Chernobyl affected communities to help them to overcome the domino effect of poverty, poor health, and social and psychosocial impact that was the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
