D River

The D River is a river in the state of Oregon in the United States. Proclaimed the "shortest river in the world" by the state of Oregon, it is about 120 feet (36 m) long, depending on the tide. It flows from Devils Lake into the Pacific Ocean, entirely within the city limits of Lincoln City. The D River State Recreation site off highway 101 is home to two of the worlds largest kite festivals [1] in the spring and fall as part of the Rose Festival.

The Roe River in the U.S. state of Montana also has a claim as the shortest river in the world. While in reality the length of both rivers can vary substantially, to date the Roe River remains the official record holder in the Guinness Book of World Records.
