Dennis Meadows

Dennis Meadows, Ph.D. is an economist and co-author of Limits to Growth.He is professor of Systems Management and the director of the Institute for Policy and Social Science Research at the University of New Hampshire.

His ten books have been translated into more than 30 languages. One text was awarded the German Peace Prize. His games are used in training programs around the world by corporate, university, and other programs. For example, the World Bank in Washington, the World Health Organization in Geneva, and the Italian Ministry of Health in Milan all hired him to create training materials for their senior management programs.

He has served on the boards of companies in Europe and the United States. They included a major health insurance company in New Hampshire and a wind energy park developer based in Germany. Dennis lived and worked in six countries; he has lectured or consulted to corporate and government groups in over 40 nations. He spends about one-third of each year living and working abroad.

Meadows has in management from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and three honorary doctorates from European universities for his contributions to international environmental policy analysis and computer-aided education.

He is a member of the Club of Rome.
