Djurgården

Nordic Museum at Djurgården

Djurgården is a large park area in central Stockholm, Sweden. Royal Djurgården or Kungl. Djurgården, has a history of being what its name literally translates to, a royal game park. It is a popular place for tourists with a large number of museums, Skansen (an outdoor museum, zoo and amusement park), Gröna Lund, as well as great footpaths. Ways to get there include by foot or by heritage tram from Norrmalmstorg, by bus from Sergels Torg or by boat from Nybroplan, Skeppsholmen or Slussen.

Djurgården has over 10,000,000 visitors/year.
