Drakenstein Municipality is a municipality located in the
Western Cape Province of
South Africa. As of
2001, the population is 194,419. Its municipality code is WC023.
The mayor of the municipality is Christian Johannes George Leander of the
NNP Party. It is divided into twenty-nine wards, with a total of fifty-eight councillors.
The municipality has a total area of 1,538 km².
