Duxford is a village in Cambridgeshire, England, some ten miles south of Cambridge. Duxford gives its name to a former Royal Air Force airfield that was used as a sector station during the Battle of Britain. Duxford airfield was the home of Douglas Bader's Big Wing during that battle. Duxford airfield later became a fighter airfield for the United States Army Air Forces, it is now the Imperial War Museum Duxford.

After the war, the airfield fell into disuse until it was used in the Battle of Britain film. Later it was purchased by the Imperial War Museum. Currently, Duxford airfield houses the Imperial War Museum's aircraft collection, as well as its land warfare collection of tanks. The airfield is also home to the Duxford Aviation Society's collection of Historic Civil Airliners, including Concorde 101, a Comet 4 and a Hermes body along with 9 other airframes. The American Air Museum in Britain has recently been added to the museum complex.

The airfield at Duxford is now home to a large number of remarkable and unique aircraft, including many airworthy aircraft operated by private groups. It is considered to be one of the most significant collections in the UK.
