Electronic Transfer of Prescriptions (NHS)



ETP (Electronic Transfer of Prescriptions) is the means of transferring a medical prescription electronically as well as or instead of paper based methods.

Part of the National Programme for IT of the National Health Service in England includes an ETP project which has several pilots running and is due to be rolled out nationally in 2007.
