Ettore Ximenes

Ximenes' "Dante" can be found in Washington, D.C.'s Meridian Hill Park.

Ettore Ximenes (April 11, 1855, PalermoDecember 20, 1926, Rome) was an Italian sculptor of religious and mythological subjects.

There are several significant works by Ximenes in the United States. These include:
*Giovanni da Verrazzano, Battery Park, Manhattan, New York, 1909
*Dante Alighieri in Dante Park at Lincoln Center, New York City and Meridian Hill Park, Washington D.C. - castings of the same work, 1921
