Farnley

This article discusses the village of Farnley in North Yorkshire, England. See also New Farnley and Old Farnley, in West Yorkshire.

Farnley is a village in North Yorkshire, near Otley, north of Leeds. The name "Farnley" indicates that the village was first established in an area heavy with ferns.

To the north of the village lies Farnley Hall, a stately home built by John Carr who also built Harewood House.

The primary school in Farnley is occasionally used as a location for filming the soap opera Emmerdale.
