Jupiter, FL*Though the Marlins have never won a division title, they have also never lost a playoff series in their history (a perfect 6-0). They are the only team in MLB history to have won two World Series titles as a wild card playoff entrant and the first team in MLB history to win the World Series as a wild card entrant.
*In 2001, the Marlins were swept by the Phillies in an unusual five game series (June 28, 2001 - July 1, 2001). The series was scheduled for 4-games but included a doubleheader to make up an earlier game. The Fish lost the first two games (the doubleheader) 6-5 and 8-7, then lost the remaining games 5-0, 6-4, and 8-1.
