Austin Independent School District, is an urban school with approximately 1000 students. The school serves grades 6-8.
It is a magnet school and has many electives including Introduction to Law, Visual Media and Latin.The Austin Independent School District has only one other Magnet school,
Kealing Middle School.Though Kealing has had a Magnet Program longer than Fulmore Fulmore's Magnet Program is much more inclusive with the Non-Magnet students attending.It is not a "School within a School" and Magnet students enjoy friendships with Non-Magnet students. The only distinction between Magnet and Non-Magnet is that the Magnet students have Magnet Social Studies and Language Arts. The Electives are open to anyone attending the school.
