Hariyanavi

Hariyanavi or Jatu or Bangaru is a dialect of Hindi language, spoken in the North Indian state of Haryana, and also in Delhi particularly by Jats. Haryanvi is usually not classified as a language and has lots of similarities with Hindi, and has plenty of Urdu words in it. It can be considered as a variation of the early Khadiboli. Hindi speakers consider it to have a somewhat harsh tone. The literature is almost nil, but there are a lot of folk songs available.

Haryanvi dialects have lots of variation, sometimes the dialects vary from village to village which may be few kilometers apart and there may not be any geographical barrier separating them.

There is a big collection of haryanavi songs, raagni and video at http://haryanavimusic.com.
