Hellbastard
Hellbastard was a
Crust punk band formed in
1986 in the
United Kingdom. The story goes that they met each other at a
Subhumans gig, and that they decided to form a band that should be a combination of the politics of
Crass and the music of
Slayer. It should also be noted that other bands from that time and area went in a direction that fused Anarcho-Punk with a metallic influence. A good example was
Anti-Sect (although in their metallic period they were more like Black Sabbath/Metallica than Slayer). Some Hellbastard members later went on to play in
Hellkrusher. Hellbastard's last known lineup was: M.S. Lewty - vocals/guitars, Ali Lee - guitars, Drew Wright - bass, and Brian Newton - drums.
