Human manure

Human manure is human faeces used as fertilizer. Through history humanity has used their own waste products to fertilize fields. It was only with the invention and proliferation of the flush toilet that the practice has declined. The environmental impact of modern agricultural and sewage practices is forcing a re-evaluation.

In some parts of the world a premium is paid for produce grown using human manure.
