IESE Business School of the University of Navarra: A top business school, according to Financial Times and the Economist Intelligence Unit.

IESE Business School, the graduate business school of the University of Navarra, is one of the leading business schools in Europe and in the world, renowned for its MBA and Executive MBA programs. IESE has campuses in Barcelona and Madrid. IESE is an initiative of the ultra conservative, and questionable Roman Catholic order of Personal Prelature of Opus Dei.

IESE stands for "Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa" in Spanish and in English: "Institute of Higher Business Studies" or "International Graduate School of Management".

*1958: IESE Business School Established in Barcelona
*1963: Harvard-IESE Committee meets to guide the IESE MBA program
*1964: IESE establishes Europe's first two-year MBA program
*1973: Europe's first entrepreneurship course offered at IESE
*1980: Bilingual program, Europe's first, created
*1989: International Advisory Board established
*1991: International Faculty Development Program for faculty members in Europe formed
*1994: IESE begins offering executive education programs in partnership with other leading business schools including Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan and University of Michigan
*2000: Europe's first Global Executive MBA established
*2002: Advanced Management Program in Brazil established
*2003: Executive Development Program in Egypt established
*2004: Advanced Management Program in Munich established
*2005: Inside India Program established

Ranking

It ranked as number one business school in the world based on the study of the Economist Intelligence Unit of 2005.

In its Executive Education 2000 survey published on May 23, The Financial Times ranked IESE one of the world's leading providers of open enrollment and in-company programs for global senior managers. In the global Top 20 ranking, IESE ranked 9th in the world and 2nd in Europe. The Financial Times also named IESE No. 1 in the world in two categories: internet usage and relevance of teaching in the workplace.

IESE is one of the world's pioneers in joint-venture executive education, offering open-enrollment programs in partnership with leading U.S. business schools and companies since 1994. The school's in-company programs have attracted such leading clients as Bertelsmann, British Telecom, Boeing, Fortis, Henkel, Sun Microsystems and Volkswagen in recent months. [2]
