Jamie Thomas

Jamie Thomas is a professional skateboarder from Dothan, Alabama. He was born on October 11 1974. He started skateboarding at the age of eleven. He has been a pro skateboarder for over 14 years and is the President of Black Box Distribution. In 2006 he won the prestigious "Entreprenuer of the Year" award from Ernst & Young He is the only person (skateboarder or otherwise) to have attempted the nearly two-story high "Leap of Faith" at Point Loma High School without breaking a bone. His skateboarding stance is regular.
*Note: Recently a In-line rollerblader attempted this jump and, while falling badly, did not break any bones.

He is the founder of Zero Skateboards, Mystery Skateboards, [[Fallen Footwear].He is married with two children and resides in San Diego,CA.

Thomas started Zero Skateboards in 1996 and assembled a team of young "up and comers" including Matt Mumford and Adrian Lopez. Zero is now internationally recognized amongst skaters and is one of the biggest skateboarding companies in the world today. The team now includes not only big names like Jamie Thomas and Chris Cole - Trasnworld Skateboarding's reader's choice skater for 2005 and Thrahser Magazine "Skater of the Year" 2005. Also on the team are Garret Hill, Tony Cervantes, Jon Allie, James Brockman, John Rattray Ben Gilley, Elissa Steamer, Keegan Sauder, Sheldon Meleshanski and new pro Tommy Sandoval. The first Zero video "Thrill Of It All" (1997) featured his infamous attempt at the Leap Of Faith; a fifteen foot drop over a handrail at Point Loma High school in San Diego, California. Although his board snapped immediately upon impact, Jamie walked away more or less unscathed after his attempt. The only Other skateboarder known to have attempted the Leap Of Faith include a guy named "Texas" - breaking both his legs badly in the process.Other videos from Zero include "Misled Youth" (1999), "Dying to Live" (2002)and "New Blood" (2005). Thomas is currently filming for the first ever Fallen Footwear video and is heading out onto the road in 2006 to defend as two-time champ in Thrashers "King of the Road" contest.
