Jōyō (城陽市; -shi) is a city located in Kyoto, Japan. It is the halfway between Kyoto city and Nara City.There are a lot of Historical spot and architecture such as Shibagahara Tomb and Mito shrine.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 83,188 and the density of 2,540.09 persons per km². The total area is 32.75 km².
