Keat Hwa II Secondary School had been founded in 1950. Before July 2004, this school was located at Kampung Baru, 05150 ALor Star, Kedah,
Malaysia and shared facilities with another branch of the Keat Hwa Schools, a primary school named Keat Hwa (S). After five decades of struggle,they finally got approval to build their own facilities. This school now located at Taman Sri Abadi, OFF Jalan Kuala Kedah, 06600 Alor Star, Kedah.
After moving in in mid year of 2004, the management was faced with another hurdle-
The roads leading to the school was very narrow and was in the middle of a paddy field.Nevertheless,thanks to a kind constructor nearby, the road was eventually enlarged.
The new school ground has 6 science labs,one block entirely dedicated to the living skills subject,and a very well stocked(for its class)library.
Since 2003, Science and Mathematics was taught in EnglishBefore that, the subjects were taught in Malay, the native language of Malaysia.
Since moving here, enrolment in the school has doubled.
The school had launched many projects due to school advantages & system.
For example:-
1. CCTV was patched & activated;
2. New computers was intented;
3. Using MyKad Technology (coming soon).
The most average people at school. They may upgraded to any status based on their availability & conditions. Of course, Terms & Conditions must be applied before starting to apply for a status.
Students that who do service to the school in the library. Currently about 50+ in service.
Current Board Head : Wong Xi Kae (NEW-2006/2007)
These are the guys (and gals of course) in nice uniforms who keep order around the school.currently has 90+ prefects in service.

The counselling unit is for those who have problems, no matter how big or trivial,to come forward anonymously and seek help.The unit is currently headed by Ms.Tan Soo Lee.There has been events such as teenage pregnancy few years ago but details were not available to ensure privacy.
This board have no leader or head. Only know Melicaster He Kar Ping & Dkny Teoh Wei Jian is the senior and Melicaster was the leadership incharge in this board.
This board still new but no all data available. Just know they also called as Technology Prefect. All technology product they also incharged. They also help teacher to build on IT.

CCTV already patched & activated in school. All are linked into a computer to record the data. Guard house, headmistress room and management office of the school have a monitor to monitor students.
