(2006)"Keep Tryin'" is Utada Hikaru's 16th Japanese single and 21st single overall, released on February 22, 2006. "Keep Tryin'" was the first promotional song (January - April 2006) for LISMO! au LISTEN MOBILE SERVICE.The song first aired on radio on January 30, 2006 and the music video was first broadcasted on February 15, 2006. The single reached #40 on the Global Track Chart on the 10th week of 2006. Despite such low physical sales, according to the June 2006 issue of Japan's Nikkei Entertainment magazine, this single is closing in on the 2 million mark for digital downloads. Additionally, "Keep Tryin'" ranks in at number one again this week on OnGen's Weekly Download Chart, making this the 7th week with Utada at the top. This gives "Keep Tryin'" the most weeks at the #1 spot so far in 2006 on OnGen's chart.

This single also marked the return of a B-side and a karaoke track to Utada's singles. The last single with a karaoke track was 2004's Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro and the last single with a B-side was 2003's COLORS. CDJapan believes this new single is "...set to revolutionize the music industry" and that it was "...her best work to date".

The promotional video for "Keep Tryin" alludes to Utada's past PVs: "FINAL DISTANCE", "traveling", "SAKURA Drops", "Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro", "Be My Last", and "Passion". There are also references to Utada's own cartoon cat creation, Chuichi. For example, during the biking sequence, there is a group of "people" marching along, similar to the traveling PV. Furthermore, when she stops by a store filled with televisions, there is a kid pressed against the glass, similar to FINAL DISTANCE. There is even Utada's cartoon cat running along the roofs as she is marching towards the end of the song. As always, these easter eggs help make an already critically acclaimed all the better.
