Lamas Province

The Lamas Province is one of the ten provinces in the San Martín Region, in northern Peru. Its capital is Lamas. It borders the Loreto Region in the north, the San Martín Province in the east, the Pictora Province in the south, and the provinces of El Dorado and Moyobamba in the west. It has a population of approximately 80,000.

Administrative divisions

The province has an area of 5,040.67 km². It is divided into eleven districts:

*Caynarachi
*Cuñumbuqui
*Pinto Recodo
*Rumisapa
*San Roque de Cumbaza
*Shanao
*Tabalosos
*Zapatero
