Leicestershire Senior League

The Leicestershire Senior League is a football competition based in Leicestershire in England.

It has two divisions; the Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division and the Leicestershire Senior League Division One. It is a feeder to the Midland Football Alliance.

Although the Alliance is at Step 5 of the National League System (the ninth tier of the overall English football league system), the Football Association does not currently define any Step 6 leagues in the region, so the Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division is officially at Step 7. The First Division is therefore not part of the NLS, meaning that clubs in that divisions are not eligible to take part in the FA Vase.

It has been proposed to reclassify the Premier Division as Step 6 but it is not clear whether this would admit the First Division to the NLS. Teams in this league are currently ineligible to enter the FA Cup.
