Mike Cronemeyer is the weekend morning anchor for television station WOWT in Omaha, NE. It is the 75th largest television market in the United States. Cronemeyer was born and raised in Miami Florida. He is the son of Richard and Jocelyn. Cronemeyer is of mixed race. His mother is Puertorican and his dad is German. Cronemeyer is fluent in spanish and is proud of his latin roots.
Mike was an a extremely talented baseball player and received a scholarship to both Miami-Dade and NC State. He is the only Jaguar to win a Southern Conference title as a pitcher and catcher. He was named to the All-Southern Conference first team in 1993 after going 7-2 with 2.3 ERA. He also attended NC State where he is second all time in single season appearances with 30. He is 8th on the all time NC State saves list. Cronemeyer played one season in the Northeast League for the Allentown Ambassadors, going 8-3 with a 3.14 ERA. Known for his outstanding control, he walked only 8 batters the entire 1997 season.
Cronemeyer began his broadcasting career while an intern in the NC State athletic video office. He hosted a variety of sports programs. He discovered live television at the University of Missouri where he attended the well respected Missouri School of Journalism. He landed his first full-time broadcasting job in Lincoln, NE.
