Morris Castle
Morris Castle is an old residental tower block in
Swansea, south
Wales which was built in the
18th Century from
1768 to
1774 for Sir
John Morris to house the families of workers at his industrial enterprises and has been referred to as "possibly the first block of workers flats in the modern world".
It stands on top of a high hill near to Llewellyn Park and over looking
Landore, where only 2 block towers facing each other remain. Many people from Swansea say it's the landmark of the area.
