Normen Europäischer Modelleisenbahnen

Normen Europäischer Modelleisenbahnen (NEM), or European Standards for Modelling, are standards for rail transport modelling valid for constructing models of European railways, issued by the MOROP, the European federation of national model railway associations. Models of North American prototypes generally follow NMRA standards instead.

The NEM standards guide manufacturers in creating compatible products and assist modellers in constructing model railway layouts that operate reliably. They include things like suggested gradients, turn radiuses, wheel profiles, coupling designs and Digital Command Control.
