Norse

Norse is an adjective relating things to Scandinavia and may be used in a number of ways:
* Norse mythology, ancient Scandinavian beliefs
* Norsecore, a subgenre of heavy metal music
* "Norselands" (see "Scenario" section of Age of Mythology: The Titans), a fictional land in an installment of the Age of Mythology computer game series
* Norsemen i. e. Scandinavian people before the christening of Scandinavia
* North Germanic languages (through the synonym "Nordic languages"), a group of modern languages spoken in Scandinavia and nearby lands
** West Norse, describing the modern languages of Norwegian, Faroese and Icelandic within the North Germanic language group
** East Norse, describing the modern languages of Danish and Swedish within the North Germanic language group
** Proto-Norse language, the Indo-European language in use from 100 B.C. to 800 A.D., predecessor of Old Norse
** Old Norse language, the Germanic language in use from 800 A.D. to 1300 A.D.
* Norse art, Scandinavian art of period 400 A.D. to 1066 A.D. and sometimes of the pre-historic period 1700 B.C. to 500 B.C.
