Paul Moody

See Paul Dwight Moody for the Presbyterian clergyman.

Paul Moody (1779 - 1831) was a U.S. textile machinery inventor. Working with Francis Cabot Lowell, he helped to advance power loom technology in the United States during the early nineteenth century. Moody was head machinist at the Lowell Machine Shop (in Lowell, Massachusetts) when it was established in 1824. Paul Moody would later have a street named after him (in Waltham, Massachusetts) called Moody Street located off the city's main street.
