Qiryat Chaim

Qiryat Chaim is one of five towns of the HaQerayot in an urban area in Israel, part of a conglomeration of five smaller towns located about 30km north of Haifa in the Haifa District, which as of 2003 contains:

# Qiryat Yam 38,000 people.# Qiryat Motzkin 46,000 people.# Qiryat Bialik 54,000 people.# Qiryat Atta 60,000 people.# Qiryat Chaim 40,000 people.

The town was named after Chaim Arlosoroff. Qiryat Chaim is actually a neighborhood in Haifa municipality and many arrived after 1990, following the large aliyah from the collapsing Soviet Union.

Qiryat Chaim is within the municipal borders of the city of Haifa, and lies on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea.
