Ride It
"Ride It" was the first single to be released from Geri Halliwell's third album,
Passion. Released on
November 22nd, 2004, this single was Geri's first single release in three years.
Geri dropped the "Halliwell" from her name and became known as the rather diva-esque "Geri" for the release of this disco number.

The video was camp and lively, and the promotion was perfect. However, there was strong competition from
Girls Aloud,
Destiny's Child and
Lemar, which resulted in a final chart position of #4 (from a midweek position of #2), with 19,196 copies sold in its first week. "Ride It" went on to sell 45,000 copies, and was the 143rd best selling single of 2004. The single was very popular throughout
Europe,
Asia and
Latin America, especially in the Clubs, a remix of the track was later included on several Dance Compilations in the US and had big exposure on Music Channels, especially on
MTV where "Making The Video" was showed to promote the single.
