Sha'uri
Sha'uri was a character in the fictional
Stargate universe (played by
Mili Avital in the movie and
Vaitiare Bandera in the tv series) who was the wife of
Daniel Jackson. She was an
Abydonian, daughter of
Kasuf, sister to
Skaara and host to
Amonet. In
Stargate SG-1, her name is spelled "
Sha're."
After being married to Daniel Jackson for one year, Sha're was taken hostage by
Apophis. SG-1 went in pursuit of the System Lord, but they were captured and thrown in a dungeon with the other prisoners. When Apophis and his entourage entered the prison to choose which captives would become symbiote hosts, Sha're was standing by the Goa'uld's side. It became clear to Jackson that his wife had been forced to become the host for the symbiote queen Amonet. Although SG-1 escaped from the prison they could not apprehend Apophis before he left through the Stargate with Sha're.
A year later Sha're had returned to her home on Abydos. The symbiote inside her was dormant because Sha're was about to give birth to the child of Apophis. Once the child was born, Apophis was to return and take Sha're and the baby away with him. SG-1 travelled back to Abydos and Daniel Jackson planned to take Sha're back to Earth. Just as they were about to leave, one of
Heru'ur's ships landed on Abydos. This caused Amonet to waken and Sha're went into labour. Jackson delivered the baby, the boy
Shifu, but Amonet seized control of Sha're immediately after the birth.
Teal'c told Amonet that
Heru'ur had taken the child. He stunned Amonet with a Zat gun, then he and Jackson took the child into hiding. When Apophis arrived on the planet he was told by Amonet that
Heru'ur had kidnapped their son.
Soon after, Amonet had once again returned to Abydos, this time reducing the people to slavery. SG-1 battled with the army there and Daniel confronted the Goa'uld queen. As Amonet was about to murder Daniel using a
Hand Device,
Teal'c appeared and shot Amonet with his
staff weapon...killing both Amonet and Sha're.
