St John's Chapel, County Durham

St John's Chapel is a village in County Durham, in England. It is situated in Weardale, on the south side of the River Wear between Daddry Shield and Ireshopeburn. Nightlife: Pubs in the town include the Blue Bell and the Golden Lion which are both open from dusk till dawn.

It has a population of 442 and of which only 38 are children (as of 2001). This is due to the fact that it is a victim of Rural Depopulation.
