The Man in the Moon (film)

The Man in the Moon is a 1991 drama/romance film, directed by Robert Mulligan and starring Reese Witherspoon as Danielle "Dani" Trant.

The story tells of a fourteen-year-old girl named Dani (Reese Witherspoon) who falls in love with a boy three years her senior named Court Foster (Jason London). As their relationship begins to develop, however, Foster becomes more attracted to Dani's older sister, Maureen (Emily Warfield). The film focuses on the pain of the two sisters infatuated with the same boy, and the way that their relationship with their family and friends is affected.
