His second marriage was to Lady Catherine Stanhope of Shelford. She was the daughter of Sir John Stanhope and Lady Catherine Trentham. Sir Thomas went to Cambridge University. Sir Thomas Hutchinson was elected
M.P. for Nottingham. He was a close friend of King
Charles I of England. He was given many important missions by the king, as a trusted friend of the king. He was the son of Sir Thomas Hutchinson and Lady Jane Sacheverell. They lived at
Owthorpe the family estate in Nottingham England. His son is better known, he was colonel John Hutchinson, who was married to Lady Lucy Apsley.
