Thomas Myhre (born October 16 1973) is a Norwegian international football goalkeeper. He currently plays for Charlton Athletic.
Myhre is a highly respected former Viking F.K., Everton, Besiktas, Rangers, Birmingham City, Tranmere Rovers, FC Copenhagen, Crystal Palace and Sunderland player.
He was loaned from Everton to Birmingham City to ensure an additional fee wouldn't be encurred for reaching a set number of appearances, and he made an astonishing debut saving a Wolverhampton penalty.
In June 2005, he refused to sign a new contract with Sunderland. On July 21, 2005 Myhre joined Fredrikstad F.K. on a free transfer where he played on a match -by-match basis. Charlton signed him on a two year deal on 8 August 2005 where he is currently first choice goalkeeper.
Myhre has 41 caps for the Norwegian national team and was part of the squad at the 1998 FIFA World Cup (as unused second choice for goalkeeper) and (as first choice). He currently remains first choice as Norway's goalkeeper.
