Three Pashas
"
The Three Pashas", or "
dictatorial triumvirate" were
minister of the interior/
Grand Vizier,
Mehmed Talat Pasha (
1874â€"
1921). Working with him were the
minister of war Ismail Enver, (
1881â€"
1922) and the minister of the
Navy Ahmed Djemal, (
1872â€"
1922). They were dominant figures during the
WWI. This term is generally used to refer to the events and decisons behind the siding with the
Central Powers.
It is widely belived that, after
Coup of 1913, they become effective rulers of the Ottoman Empire till the end of
World War I. It was undeniable that most of the key decisions have passed through them.
On November 2 after the
Armistice of Mudros, Enver, Talat and Cemal, escaped from Constantinople, but they will be faced with the
executors of the Armenian Genocide.
