Tome, Miyagi

Tome (登米市; -shi) is a city located in Miyagi, Japan.

Previously a district consisting of eight towns, on April 1, 2005, they, along with the town of Tsuyama formerly of Motoyoshi District, merged to form a new city.

As of 2003, the area that became Tome city had an estimated population of 90,944 and a density of 169.55 persons per km². The total area was 536.38 km²
