Twiglets

Twiglets are a crunchy snack food shaped like small twigs and originally flavoured with a substance similar to Marmite or Vegemite, although they now come in several varieties. Twiglets are a trade name, not a generic name; the brand is owned by The Jacobs Bakery Limited, a subsidiary of United Biscuits.

Similarly to Marmite, people tend to either find the flavour compelling or revolting.

They are baked, not fried, for lower fat content.

Twiglets were often mentioned as a snack in the Whose Line is it Anyway? game Party Quirks.

In one well known scene from the TV show Mr. Bean, the hapless character runs out of Twiglets at a party he's hosting, and substitutes real twigs dipped in Marmite.

In the British comedy series Spaced, lead character Tim Bisley says that Twiglets make him violent.

Twiglets are traditionally British, and were originally available only in Europe, although they are now also available in the U.S. They remain rare outside the Northern Hemisphere. However, several websites offer international delivery, mainly targeting British people living in other countries.
