USS Savannah

Five ships of the United States Navy have been named USS Savannah, after the city of Savannah, Georgia.
* The first Savannah was a 1-gun galley built in 1799.
* The second Savannah was a sailing frigate launched in 1842.
* The third Savannah (AS-8) was a submarine tender in World War I.
* The fourth Savannah (CL-42) was a light cruiser in service during World War II.
* The fifth Savannah (AOR-4) was a fast attack oiler in service from 1970 to 1995.

Two ships of the Confederate States Navy were named CSS Savannah. See also the SS Savannah, first steamship to cross the Atlantic, and NS Savannah, a nuclear-powered merchant ship in use from 1962 to 1972.
