Cotton County,
Oklahoma,
United States. The population was 2,657 at the 2000 census. It is the
county seat of
Cotton County.

United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 21.7
km² (8.4
mi²). 21.1 km² (8.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it (2.75%) is water.
As of the
census of 2000, there were 2,657 people, 1,063 households, and 721 families residing in the city. The
population density was 126.2/km² (326.6/mi²). There were 1,256 housing units at an average density of 59.6/km² (154.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 84.38%

The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 3.05.
In the city the population was spread out with 27.8% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 26.7% from 25 to 44, 19.9% from 45 to 64, and 18.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 87.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 84.5 males.
