Wolverine (film)
Wolverine is a
spin-off film project in pre-production, based on the character
Wolverine from the
X-Men movies.
Hugh Jackman will once again reprise his role of Wolverine. If produced, it will probably be released no sooner than
2008.
David Benioff has been hired to pen the screenplay. Benioff's previous work includes
25th Hour and
Troy.
There is a possibility that
Brett Ratner may direct. He reportedly impressed the producers with his work on
X-Men: The Last Stand. Actor
Vinnie Jones may reprise his role of
Juggernaut.

Magneto (film)* An article on latinoreview.com claiming to review a preliminary script mentioned that
Silver Fox (Wolverine's love interest) and
Blob will apparently be in the movie. The article has since been removed.

Simon Kinberg revealed in an interview with If Magazine

Wolverine but he is unsure of what form he will be in it. He also mentioned that, "We did talk about a couple of characters that they wanted to save for the Wolverine movie spin-off. I can't tell you who they are, but there was really only one we wanted to use for
X3, and they said they're not going to have a big enough part to risk losing them for
Wolverine."
