Woodford Folk Festival
The
Woodford Folk Festival happens every year 75 km north of
Brisbane between Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
It originated out of the
Maleny Folk Festival which began in 1987. In 1994 it moved to
Woodford.
Performers such as
Ember Swift, Darth Vegas,
Xavier Rudd, The Whitlams, Mal Webb, Totally Gourdgeous, Missy Higgins, The Cat Empire, Pete Murray and The John Butler Trio have all graced the stage at woodford.
In 2004 it had 130,000 visitors.
